DBC/BDC is pleased to announce the dates and location for the 2008 Canadian Dragon Boat Championships and National Team Trials.
The Canadian Championships will be taking place July 19 and 20, 2008 at Marilyn Bell Park in Toronto, Ontario. This event will be the premier racing opportunity of the summer. Registration information will be available early in the new year.

The National Team Trials will precede the Canadian Championships and will be taking place at Marilyn Bell Park on Lake Ontario July 17th and 18th.

The selection protocol is outlined under DBC Info. The IDBF Regulations effective Jan 1 2008 will apply. Crews and Clubs that compete internatiionally are encouraged to familiarlize themselves with these Regulations.
National Team Trials Bulletins: Number 1 ,
DBC is seeking registrations from programs wishing to select, coach and train a National Crew. Registrations are to be submitted to DBC no later than 5pm est. May 16th, 2008.
Application Requirements:
· Member of DBC
· $500.00 Deposit to accompany registration
· Agree to abide by the policies, rules, regulation, and codes of conduct issued by DBC
· Racing Class (ie. Premier Mixed) of requested crew indicated on registration

| Under 23 Race Category Announced |
New in 2008! DBC will be introducing an Under 23 category (as per IDBF rules). for competitors over 17 and under the age of 23, as at the 1st January in a given year. (Sep 07)
This will be in effect at both the Canadian Dragon Boat Championships and National Team Trials. The U23 category would also be applicable at Sport Racing events.
